HRV Monitoring

The Yeyro Ring X measure of the variation in time between each heartbeat, indicating the balance between the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) nervous systems.

Variability

The fluctuation or variance in the time intervals between successive heartbeats.

Autonomic

Encompasses the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems' control over involuntary bodily functions.

Stress

Physiological and psychological strain that affects HRV. Lower HRV often correlates with higher stress levels.

Recovery

Body's ability to recuperate and restore after stress or exercise, which HRV monitoring can assess.

Blood Oxygen Saturation

A measure of the percentage of oxygen-saturated hemoglobin in the blood. It indicates the amount of oxygen being carried by red blood cells from the lungs to the rest of the body's tissues.

Hemoglobin

Red blood cells responsible for carrying oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.

Oxygenation

oxygen being taken up by the red blood cells in the lungs and transported throughout the body via the bloodstream.

Fingertip

Pulse oximeter that clips onto the fingertip to measure blood oxygen levels.

Temperature Monitoring

The temperature of the outer layer of the skin, known as the epidermis. It is one of the ways to measure and monitor body temperature. The average core body temperature is around 98.6°F (37°C).

Heat Loss

Body dissipates excess heat to maintain its temperature equilibrium. Heat loss occurs primarily through the skin via radiation, conduction, convection, and evaporation.

Vasodilation

Blood vessels near the skin's surface, allowing increased blood flow and heat loss through radiation and conduction.

Sweating

Producing and releasing sweat from sweat glands onto the skin's surface. As sweat evaporates, it cools down the body.

Rapid Eye Movement. is crucial for various aspects of cognitive function, memory consolidation, and emotional regulation.

Awake

Light Sleep

Characterized by a relatively low amplitude of brain waves and some muscle activity.

Heart Rate Tracking

It is a method used to monitor and measure the number of times your heart beats per minute (bpm). It is a valuable tool for assessing cardiovascular health, fitness levels, and overall well-being.

Cardiovascular

Plays a critical role in maintaining homeostasis and supporting the overall functioning of the body.

Fit for my purpose.

I purchased the ring X so I could track my sleeping, fitness and heart rate etc. I do own a fitbit watch as well but wanted to have an option to be wearing other watches with the ring. The ring is comfortable to wear to sleep and I have used it in the gym lifting weights. However, it has already been scratched after a couple of weeks against the dumbbells although it was supposed to be non-scratch. I compared the ’step count’ with my fitbit and they are pretty similar. I would prefer if there is an option to choose the physical activity (for example, spinning, weights, workout, threadmill etc) on the app, like the fitbit and for the app to share the data with other apps, for example my fitbit. Upon receiving it, although the ring indicated a green light whilst on the charger, it was actually not charged and hence I had difficulty connecting it to the app. The online chat was quite prompt in responding to my questions and assisting me with it. After the first charge of about four hours, it finally was fully charged and could connect to the app. The battery life is not bad, at around 3-4 days before having to charge again. I do hope the app will have some upgrades to have some connectivity across some popular fitness monitoring apps so I can use it alongside with them.

It’s a good smart ring

I’ve been using the ring for about a month now and apart from the temperature sensor, I’ve found it to be accurate and hard wearing too. The battery lasts between 5 and 6 days, which great for me and mine only takes about 90-120 minutes to fully charge.
